EWMA Germany Poster- Managing Gas Gangrene In A Resource-Constrained Bahamian Setting: A Podiatric Care Perspective

This case report evaluates the clinical effectiveness of an integrated wound care regimen for gas gangrene in the Bahamas where surgical management and medications are  often unavailable. 

Approach combines iodine, topical antibiotic powder, gentian violet, and serial sharp excisional debridement to:

• Suppress Clostridium perfringens infection

• Safeguard limb function

• Stimulate healing in a setting without advanced technologies or inpatient surgical access
